A workshop concentrated on reading your partners intent desire and physicality. Finding out with communication before hand how a session or a show will unwind and even the change of mood and intention during a play. Using your body as a tool of transferring your plan or objective.
Learning what you yourself needs at the moment and how this is perfectly acceptable to change at all times.
How to say “yes” “no” and “look there’s also this idea”!
Learn the basic principles of contact improvisation and ropes with Aphrodite Alexandrakou in this class! You'll also learn about expression, communication, body manipulation, rope tension, rope flow and explore a lot more!
This class is open to all levels and complete beginners. No rope needed, we will have some ropes to lent. No experience needed.
No partner required. If you come on your own you will be able to pair up with someone else during the class and you will be switching throughout the class (tying and being tied).
There might be variations for more advanced options, depending on the level of the participants.
We have tea and coffee, but you should bring your food and snacks.
You can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, but we strongly advice against clothes that might have stiff material (like underwire bra).
