Description:
This workshop aims to make the participants understand how to create the right situation to tie in an outdoor environment. We will see how to prepare the space, how to create safe suspension points that are not the ones we are used to at home or other indoor spaces.
When we do ropes outside, the difficulties increase and the risks are much higher but if we use some awesome tricks and our common sense, we can also get to do things that seem impossible, in a very safe way.
In addition to this, we will explore some great options on how to create a concept that is special and unique, as well as how to create interesting shibari photography.
This is an intermediate to advanced level, even for floor ties, since you will need to be confident to tie/get tied in an uncomfortable environment.
If necessary we will also make a review of some patterns useful for each tie. You are free to chose is you will tie and how you will tie (floor/partial/suspension)
Prerequisites:
-If you try suspensions (partials or full) you need to know how to secure suspension points.
-A set of at least 8 ropes
-For this workshop, you will also need at least two nautical synthetic ropes that withstand strong tensions with a minimum thickness of 10 mm and a length of at least 20 meters
Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable to tie in outdoors.
